Is Apple Slowing Down for Creating Revolutionary Products?

Apple just announced its new generation of iPad on March 7, it seems like not much difference compare to last one from customers' point of view. Furthermore, there are more and more people start to criticize Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple has not guide the company toward the right track because of the new products are not the ones that customers expected. Well, it is obvious that the recent products like new iPhone4S and iPad technically are not revolutionary products. As we know that when Apple promoted its new products before, they were always called “revolutionary products”. Yeah, we admitted that they were quite revolutionary since it was ideal enough that none of the products in the electronic market had same features and looking by the time. But that was only happened before the founder of Apple Steven Jobs passed away. I think it is important that the CEO of the company make the right choice and guide the company toward the way of success. It is just like the captain of a vessel, he has the responsibility to guide the fellow toward the right direction. But the fact is Tim
Cook has not done a good job, because the new iPhone4S and iPad are not creative enough, it just enhanced some existing features and hardware, and not big changed on the outlook and features. Perhaps, Apple starts to lose its own character on the way of inventing new products since all the high-tech companies are following it. Nobody can produce better product than Apple, and Apple has to compete with itself when it is inventing new products. This might not be a good news for Apple, because if Apple is still unable to come up with the new revolutionary products that can impress us. It will eventually lose its market share slowly as time goes by. Just like CNN reporter John said:" We'll leave you to be the judge. Let us know what you think of these updates in the comments section. Does this new iPad sound like it's worth the cash? "(John, CNN) The customer will use their cash to vote if the new iPad is the real revolutionary and amazing product or not. Let’s hope that the next product it launches is real revolutionary and amazing.

    1. Yeah, everyone is a little bit disappointed with Apple's new products, we will see how the market response when Apple's next annual report come out. I think investors and customers will give an answer that we want.

  2. Although Apple had an early advantage with computers and digital products, they must remember that they can't get by on their status alone. I thought your point about Steve Jobs's death has merit. With Steve Jobs dead, I think they've lost some place in the hearts of the public. People admired him, despite his flaws, and unfortunately, people don't know much about Tim Cook. This might be good for Apple though, as they might turn in a different direction and surprise us all with new and refreshing products.

    1. Well, that is really interesting and I never thought about that. I think perhaps you are right, we should give some room for Tim Cook, and I hope he could come up with different style of leadership, and Apple really need to live as itself, not just rely on the founder. I think there must be some reasons that Steve Jobs decide to leave the CEO to Cook, and Cook will be able to change the way how Apple used to surprise us. Time will prove that if he is the right guy to be the CEO of Apple.

  3. Honestly, I saw a similar article with yours on internet with just different title. What a coincidence? lol But, yeah I agree with you that Apple is slowing down on innovation ever since the death of Steve Jobs.

    1. Well, if Steven Jobs is still alive, I wonder how he would criticize the new iPad and Tim Cook. I think it might be very ironic. Even though in the first 4 days, Apple sold 3 million new iPad, but I still don't feel well for Apple, because it is not creative enough.

  4. I don't believe the lack of creativity can be placed solely on Tim Cook. The fact is that the iPhone 4S and the new iPad have been in development long before Steve Jobs' passing, and he was still the one in charge of what to do with these products. Even the iPhone 5 that has not even come out yet has been under development almost completely under Steve Jobs. Tim Cook may be CEO, but he hasn't been CEO long enough to really "steer" Apple, but rather just pick up from where Jobs left.

    1. Well, your opinion is really interesting. Maybe I made the wrong judgement about Tim Cook. Perhaps it is not only personal problem, it is relate to the whole Apple development team and management team. If that's the case, then it is even worse. Because the company is suffering from lack of creativity and innovation, and it will lose its influence of market eventually.
